Particular Theatre Company

Particular Theatre Company is based in Exeter and is dedicated to working with South West writers, actors and theatre professionals to showcase exciting new work from across the regions. The company is currently holding residency at the new Bike Shed Theatre.

The company's production of Beanfield, a new play by Shaun McCarthy, transfers to The Tobacco Factory from the 24th August - 4th September.

Formed in 2007, the company's first production, The Bald Prima Donna, toured the south west in the April and May of that year. In the past year, the company has expanded and refocussed on new writing, launching this project in September 2009 with Forsaken by Helen Davis. In February 2010, Particular opened the new Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter with their production of Craig Norman's play The Distance.

The company is led by David Lockwood, Fin Irwin and Deborah Bucella, and brings together some of the most talented and creative young artists in the south west. Particular Theatre Company aims to bring exciting new writing into and out of Exeter.

This Summer, Particular Theatre Company will become The Bike Shed Theatre Company, producing ten productions a year in Exeter.
